About

About Marie Pond

Experience you can trust. Care that sees the whole person.

I’m Marie Pond, a Family, Psychiatric-Mental Health, and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner with nearly 30 years of experience in nursing.

My career began in direct patient care and has grown to include advanced practice nursing, mental health treatment, palliative care, trauma-focused therapy, research, education, writing, and international volunteer service.

Throughout my career, one belief has remained at the center of my work: each person deserves to feel heard, respected, and cared for as a whole person—not simply treated as a diagnosis.

Credentials and Specialized Training

I am triple-certified in:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner care

  • Psychiatric-Mental Health care

  • Palliative Care

I also have specialized training in:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing—EMDR

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy—ART

  • Trauma-informed and trauma-focused care

  • Integrative approaches supporting the mind, body, and spirit

My Approach to Care

My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, integrative, and grounded in whole-person care. I combine therapy, practical coping skills, education, medication support when appropriate, and Christian faith-based therapy for clients who request it.

Who I Support

I especially enjoy working with women in midlife and beyond who have spent years managing careers, families, relationships, caregiving responsibilities, and constant expectations.

Many of the women I work with have tried numerous approaches, pushed through difficult experiences, or placed their own feelings and needs aside for years. They may appear capable and successful on the outside while feeling exhausted, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck inside.

My goal is to offer a safe place where you can pause, feel heard, and begin caring for yourself without judgment.

Beyond Clinical Practice

My professional journey has also included research, writing, international volunteer nursing, and the development of self-care education. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the many ways culture, faith, health, trauma, family, and life circumstances influence healing.

For clients who request it, Christian faith and spiritual support may also be respectfully incorporated into care.

Begin Where You Are

You do not have to arrive with the right words or have everything figured out. We can begin with a conversation, explore what you have been carrying, and decide together what support may be most helpful.
